2018年加拿大所有国家公园将继续免费


加拿大联邦环境部(EC)部长麦肯娜(Catherine McKenna)近日表示,加拿大政府正在考虑把所有国家公园免门票的优惠政策延长到2018年,因为它们实在太火爆了! 
加拿大国家公园在2017年,因为150周年国庆实行全年国家公园门票免费的优惠活动以来,加拿大国家公园的受欢迎程度前所未有。 
虽然近年来公园的游客一直在不断增加,但是今年的人数特别多,今年迄今为止游客增加的人数,已经超过去年同期增加人数的一倍。

班芙国家公园Two Jack Lake 
据公园管理局(Parks Canada)初步估计,自2017年1月1日到7月31日,加拿大39个国家公园和82个国家历史遗址共接待超过1400万名游客。


如果加拿大政府决定,在2018年继续实行公园免费入场,那么对于北美旅游行业和加拿大当地的商家而言,无疑是个重大喜讯。

同时,位于安省西南部的霹雳角国家公园(Point Peelee National Park)附近的Freddy's餐厅老板Mike Makhlouf说:“我和店里的很多顾客聊,他们都是来这里庆祝加拿大150周年庆的。”

Kathleen Yetman是霹雳角餐厅Birdie's Perch和邮局的老板,她也说今年的生意好得出奇,完全超出她的预料。


自5月份起,游客就陆续前来,一直没有停过。“以前从来没有听说过公园因为游客太多而关闭,而今年这种情况已经发生了不仅一次。”


霹雳角国家公园(Point Peelee National Park)在加拿大的最南端,是一个观鸟的天堂。这里的游客今年以来已经超过13万人,比去年增加了66%,仅7月份的游客数量就增加了90%。


加拿大环境部长Catherine Mckenna说,这让她感到惊喜,并称到年底时,政府需要研究这次旅游高峰对当地社区的影响,以及明年是否继续对国家公园实行免费入园。



另外,爱德华王子岛的旅游部长Heath MacDonald也指出,爱岛国家公园(Prince Edward Island National Park)今年的游客人数增加了37%,迄今已经超过10.1万人次,仅7月份的游客就增加了54%。


数据显示,加拿大10个最繁忙的国家公园的游客量占所有增加人数的66%。
